My first time here, got the Chicago beef with hot peppers and a side of au jus. The beef was flavorful and spicy and the au jus was great too. I will definitely be coming back and hope to eat at the bar next time when I have time to do so so I can pair it with an Olde Style. Excellent restaurant!

I stopped in for a Chicago beef sandwich, and this place absolutely nailed it. The flavor was spot on—authentic, juicy, and exactly what you’d expect from a true Chicago-style beef. The bread held up perfectly, and the giardiniera had just the right kick. It’s a little on the pricier side, but honestly, you’re paying for quality and authenticity, and it’s worth every penny. If you’re craving a real Chicago beef experience in Michigan, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back.

I loved the food at Chicago beef joint. This is a great place to get authentic Chicago style hotdogs and Italian beef without going to Chicago. I got the cheese italian beef. The beef was flavorful and the au jus was delicious. This is a hidden gem just outside downtown grand rapids. I'm planning on going back to check out the live music and trivia night. I highly recommend this place!

Luckily for me, I came in when it wasn’t too busy. Ordered my sandwich. Had it within five minutes absolutely delicious. Taste just like Chicago classic Italian beef. Do you want to taste a Chicago classic stop here.

Best hot dog I've had. Excellent service. - Chili Cheese Hot Dog - 6: They thought of EVERYTHING. The bun was soft, sweet, and just melted in my mouth! The hot dog was hearty and savory. The chili was hot (temperature) and I had to let it cool, but was great. The cheese just completed it. It is a tad bit expensive, but for those who gotta have a Chicago dog, this is your joint for sure! - Service: Super kind and helpful. - Atmosphere: Feels like you stepped into Chicago, but less crowded. Very clean and polished. Lots of cool Chicago paraphernalia. The seats at the tables were actually very comfortable. - Conclusion: Probably the best hot dog place in Grand Rapids (I don’t get around to the hot dogs as much). The atmosphere is great! Visited on a Tuesday at 6pm.

It is one of the best Italian beef sandwiches in GR. They made it exactly the way I requested. The hot giardiniera peppers were perfect, the bread soaked up the delicious juice, and the beef was tender. The service is top-notch. The atmosphere is clean and not cluttered or too noisy. I highly recommend it.

Stopped in for a late night meal and definitely enjoyed the experience! My wife being from South Chicago Heights has some very strong opinions about the quality of Italian Beef sandwiches. I will say that we will be returning! And the fries... come on! Knocked it out of the park. I recorded trying it for yourself.

Transport yourself to Chicago for some authentic Italian Beef at Chicago Beef Joint. It's a fun little bar and restaurant that features, you guessed it Chicago Beef. But they have more than that, dogs, sausage, the Bears losing (just kidding), that if you're a native of Chicago, you'll feel right at home. That said, let's talk about the Italian beef Sandwich. It comes dipped with the peppers of your choosing. I went with sweet, and told them to drown my sandwich, and it was fantastic. Pair that with their delicious and crispy fries and a cold beer, what more can you ask for? On top of the great food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. This is a great place to come in, watch a Blackhawks game or have some drinks with friends. Don't sleep on this place, you have to try it.
